Overview
This 8-day Meghalaya tour takes you deep into the natural wonders of Northeast India — from hidden canyons and mystical caves to cascading waterfalls, living root bridges, crystal-clear rivers and the vibrant culture of hill villages. You’ll begin in Guwahati, travel to Shillong and venture into less-known destinations such as Wari Chora in South Garo Hills, trek the famous Double-Decker Living Root Bridge, explore Dawki and Mawlynnong, and conclude with scenic drives back to Guwahati for departure.
• Arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport or Guwahati railway station.
• Meet your tour representative and drive to Shillong (approx 3 hours).
• On the way, stop at Umiam Lake (Barapani) for scenic views and optional boating or kayaking.
• Arrive and check in to your hotel. Evening free for market exploration.
• Overnight in Shillong.
• After breakfast depart for Wari Chora, a less-visited natural canyon.
• En route visit Siju Caves — one of the longest cave systems in the region with fossil formations.
• On arrival at Wari Chora, check into a homestay.

• After breakfast, visit natural attractions like Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls.
• Explore Mawsmai Cave, known for its limestone formations.
• The rest of day is free. Overnight at Cherrapunjee.
• Transfer to Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village with pristine village life and manicured landscapes.
• Visit the Living Root Bridge near Mawlynnong and nearby viewpoints.
• Proceed to Dawki, visit the Umngot River with clear water boating experiences and optional activities at Shnongpdeng such as rafting or kayaking (own cost).
